We had such an amazing experience staying here! The kids loved the fun of wearing kimonos, and my nephew enjoyed our private hot bath. The decor was lovely, and the owners were incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. Plus, the breakfast was delightful!

For dads, it would be great having more family-friendly activities.

the area was a bit dark at night,, but the hosts offered an incredible traditional breakfast and spacious room with a private bathroom. also loved the inviting decor and the option to reserve a hot bath.

This place suits me perfectly. Excellent wi-fi, 24-hour security, and air conditioning. The staff once helped me find my lost car keys, and they are always very cute. Highly recommend it!

I stayed for one night in a Double Room with Private Bathroom and loved every moment! The breakfast was lavish, offering a variety of traditional Japanese dishes that left me full and satisfied. The staff were extremely helpful, providing maps and personal recommendations for nearby attractions. It was also great to unwind in the private onsen after exploring the city. The only downside was that I wished I could have stayed longer!

The private onsen was a wonderful way to end the

day after exploring the city. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful, providing us with extra heat packs on cold nights. However, the lack of an elevator made moving luggage a bit challenging, but the overall experience was cozy and welcoming.

Amazing stay with warm hospitality!

My partner and I had a great 3-night stay. The room was super spacious, with a cozy private bathroom and everything you need. The Japanese breakfast was sooo good! The owners were incredibly nice and helpful, making us feel at home. Only bummer was the stairs—carrying luggage up wasn’t ideal.

ryokan shimizu is located on a small, quiet street, making it very peaceful. the private onsen was a highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. the breakfast was truly delicious. the friendly staff spoke excellent english and were always ready to help, making my stay even better.

I stayed in a Japanese-Style Twin Room and it was super comfy! The futons and tatami flooring made it cozy. Bathroom setup was great with everything separated—totally convenient. The place was also really quiet, which was nice for a good night's sleep. Plus, the room was spotless!
